Interested in competing for Ebor Vale Riding Club at Area Four Riding Club Competitions?
Area 4 hosts various competitions throughout the year, for both teams and individuals.
To be considered to represent the club, you must:
• Be a current club member
• Be eligible to compete in the chosen discipline under BRC rules. 2012 Appendix 2 Eligibility of Horses
• Your horse must have an up-to-date equine influenza and tetanus vaccination record.
o NB Your horse is eligible to compete after the second of the initial course of vaccinations.
• Have attended club training events, or competitions, ideally in a related discipline, in the three months leading up to the event. This helps with the selection process.
• There will be a subsidised fee for entry which is as follows:-
Winter Showjumping £15 per rider
Combined Training £20 per rider
FOH(showcross) £20 per rider
One Day Event £40 per rider
Summer Showjumping £10 per rider
Summer Dressage £10 per rider
Winter Dressage £10 per rider

Helpers are needed for Jump Judging at the Showcross , and the One Day Event in 2017 also we have volunteered to help out at the Winter Showjumping Qualifier at Bishop Burton College on Sunday 24th February 2017 so 14 helpers are needed for this as well!! PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR HORSES FLU VAC CERT MUST BE CORRECT. THE RULE IS THE 2NDINJECTION SHOULD BE 21-92 DAYS AFTER THE 1ST AND THE 3RDINJECTION SHOULD BE 150-215 DAYS AFTER THE 2ND. SEE BELOW.
To compete in any Area Qualifiers or National Championships your horse/pony must be vaccinated against equine influenza by a veterinary surgeon who is not the owner of the animal. The horse must have received two primary vaccinations which are given not less than 21 days and not more than 92 days apart. If sufficient time has elapsed, the horse must also have received: a first booster vaccination which is given not less than 150 days and not more than 215 days after the second component of the primary vaccination, and thereafter:None of the vaccinations must have been given on the day of a competition or entry to championship stables if earlier, or on any of the six days before the competition or entry to the championship stables. In the event of failure to comply with any of the requirements of this rule, the horse or pony will NOT be permitted to take part in any competition to which these rules apply.
